Wadah Khanfar, director general of the Al-Jazeera network, announced Burman’s appointment as managing editor on Wednesday. There’s the lefty Media Bias again, heres hoping he ends up with a fatwah. Or Al Battar gets him. When I received word that Tony Burman, the former head of CBC News, was moving over to Al Jazeera, I thought it was a spoof. Alas, I’m wrong. Burman follows Avi Lewis to the jihadist propaganda arm. I wonder how much back-pay they’ll get? http://ezralevant.com/2008/

Once again stock market blasts through historic record high; CBC oblivious

Thu, 15 May 2008 14:32:13 PDT
The TSX stands at a record 14,803 right now, the highest it’s ever been in history, and in New York the Dow is also doing well lately. And the CBC is reporting virtually nothing, again. And therefore they’re misinforming you. To get the attention of the liberal-leftist media like CBC, an oil company or a bank has to make a profit. Then there’s a five-part “Passionate Eye” series on Newsworld about the evils of capitalism. Or state funding has to be reduced for Canada’s “artists”, or Suz

Sure don’t want to overstate the possible good news, huh? Err on the side of abject negativity and foretell possible dismay, just in case! The liberals’ left-wing economic gloom and doom media dissemination (while conservatives rule) division, the state-owned-for-no-apparent-reason CBC Newsworld (channel 390 in my dial) just noticed the housing market in the U.S. has finally turned a corner, after months of their gleeful daily updates informing us how horrible things are, and how they’re g

Star Choice is too good for RDI

Fri, 16 May 2008 23:08:39 PDT
The CBC is complaining to the CRTC because Canadian satellite TV provider Star Choice does not include francophone all-news channel RDI as part of its basic lineup. The problem is that the CRTC mandates that RDI be included in all cable and satellite basic lineups, as it does for channels like CPAC, Newsworld and The Weather Network. So unless I (and the CBC) are missing something, Star Choice is violating CRTC regulations. (Then again, it’s not the only company that thinks CRTC rules are just
